Conferința Internațională a Societății Sociologilor din România se organizează la București în zilele 24-25 octombrie 2024.

Despre SSR

Societatea Sociologilor din România (SSR) este o asociaţie a specialiştilor care, prin activitatea lor profesională, au contribuit şi contribuie la cunoaşterea ştiinţifică a realităţilor sociale, politice şi economice româneşti. Scopul SSR este promovarea la nivel naţional şi internaţional a profesiei de sociolog şi a cercetării sociologice.

Cotizație membru SSR 2024

Pentru a putea deveni membru cu drepturi depline al Societății Sociologilor din România, trebuie să achitați cotizația de membru pentru anul 2024. Membrii vor beneficia de o taxă redusă la conferințele organizate de SSR, precum și de alte beneficii.

Conferința SSR 2024

Așteptăm cu nerăbdare să vă întâmpinăm la Conferința Internațională a Societății Sociologilor din România, INTERSECTIONS 2024: Structures and Flows. Exploring Multiplexity in Contemporary Sociology. Conferința SSR 2024 este organizată in memoriam Profesor Lazăr Vlăsceanu pentru a onora și recunoaște contribuțiile sale semnificative la dezvoltarea sociologiei ca disciplină în România. Conferința va avea loc pe 24 și 25 octombrie 2024, în București, la Universitatea din București, Facultatea de Sociologie și Asistență Socială (Șoseaua Panduri nr. 90 – 92, București, 050663, România). Tema conferinței internaționale SSR 2024 abordează ideea de sociologie multiplexă, în care conexiunea dintre teorii și metodologii este realizată într-un orizont cu multiple valențe.

He is also a courtesy faculty member in the Bureau of Economic and Business Research of the University of Florida, USA, where until recently he was assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. He is especially interested in the way networks of social interactions, relationships and support develop in immigrant communities and shape immigrants’ lives and health in different countries. He has conducted research on the Sri Lankan community in Italy, West African immigrants in Spain, Roma people in France, and Mexican farm workers in Florida. He is also interested in the study of science and scientific collaboration, particularly in research related to health and sustainability. Over the last decade, he has led the implementation of the "Educate Me First" program for the prevention of child labor in Colombia, Honduras, and Peru. He was the founder and coordinator of the Master's Degree in Psychology of Social and Community Intervention (2010-2013), and coordinator of the Doctoral Program "Social Intervention with the Community" (2007-2013). Isidro Maya Jariego has directed and participated in research projects funded by the European Commission and by national research agencies in Spain, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico, among others. 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐡𝐬𝐞: Jan Fuhse is senior lecturer (Privatdozent) at Humboldt University of Berlin. After his PhD in sociology from Universität Stuttgart (Germany) in 2007 he completed a post-doc at Columbia University 2007-2008, working with Harrison White and Charles Tilly on the theory of social networks. More information about Jan Fuhse can be accessed at: www.janfuhse.de/index.html 🔹 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬: Following several strands of sociological theory (most importantly: relational sociology around Harrison White), Jan Fuhse regards social structures as composed of social networks which are interwoven with meaning. Precisely, according to his approach, networks exist as relational expectations emerging, stabilizing, and changing over the course of communicative events. Consequently, network research has to focus on both the symbolic and the communicative-dynamic side of social networks. More recently, he used a mix of qualitative interpretation of communicative events and formal quantitative analysis to reconstruct constellations in political discourse both in contemporary Germany and in the Weimar Republic.This includes the use of computational social science methods, especially quantitative text analysis.
