The Society of Sociologists of Romania (SSR) is an association of specialists who, through their professional activity, have contributed and continue to contribute to the scientific understanding of Romanian social, political, and economic realities. The purpose of SSR is to promote the profession of sociologist and sociological research at both national and international levels.

The SSR Conference 2024

We look forward to welcoming you to the Romanian Sociologists Society International Conference, INTERSECTIONS 2024: Structures and Flows. Exploring Multiplexity in Contemporary Sociology. The 2024 SSR conference is organised in memoriam Professor Lazฤƒr Vlฤƒsceanu to honor and acknowledge his significant contributions to the development of sociology as a discipline in Romania. The conference will take place on October 24 and 25 2024, in Bucharest, at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work (90 โ€“ 92 Panduri Blvd., Bucharest, 050663, Romania). The theme of the SSR 2024 international conference addresses the concept of multiplex sociology, in which the connection of theories and methodologies is accomplished within a horizon of multiple valences.
